Assistant/Associate Professor of Consumer Sciences and Retailing
 
The Department of Consumer Sciences and Retailing of Purdue University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track).  Responsibilities will include: teaching undergraduate courses in within our selling and sales management area, teaching  graduate level courses in related fields, conducting and publishing research, supervising doctoral students, serving on department, college, and university committees, and collaborating with faculty across the College and the University to build unique and innovative interdisciplinary discovery and learning programs.
 
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Position available, August 2011. Application process begins immediately and will continue until position is filled. Job Requirements
Applicants should have an earned doctorate in sales, psychology, communications, sociology, marketing or retailing.  Background in selling, negotiation, team building, organizational communication, persuasion, oral interpretation, and/or presentation skills is highly desirable.  Applicants would be expected to display potential for research excellence. Previous teaching experience is desirable. Industry exposure and/or grant writing experience are a plus.
