California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) is looking for a dynamic individual to lead the university’s online learning and video media operations. The Director of eLearning is a senior management position within the Division of Instructional & Information Technology (I&IT) and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer. The successful candidate will have a track record of motivating and inspiring faculty/staff and will be charged to provide vision and leadership in the application of instructional design theories, methodologies and video communication as well as champion, assess and implement new technologies. Expectations include positioning the university as a leader in course design, accessibility (e.g. Section 508), security standards and copyright policies while also playing a strategic support role in campus communication.
