DESCRIPTION	
The Department of Communication Studies at Montclair State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in New Media Studies.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, pursue an innovative research program and applied projects consistent with University and College of the Arts priorities, and participate in curriculum development and other Departmental activities.  The successful candidate will be a key member of the Task Force now developing MSU's new School of Media Arts and Communication.  Applicants whose work intersects with other core strengths in communication and information technology and in media studies are particularly encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in communication, media, or related field; evidence of teaching excellence, and a strong record indicating a commitment to research, scholarship, and service.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with qualifications
