Chatham University invites applicants for a faculty position in Communications, starting Fall 2011 with possible option to start Spring 2011. This is a 9-month renewable term appointment. Rank is open.

Successful candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: public relations, integrated marketing communications, corporate communications, media and social change, health communications, environmental communications, environmental journalism, social media.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in her/his area of expertise, as well as courses across the department curriculum where qualified to do so. The candidate will also help launch a new master's in communications. Interest in assuming administrative responsibilities for the new graduate program a plus.

Successful candidates should have professional media experience and teaching experience. Ph.D. preferred. Master's degree with significant professional credentials considered.

Members of the Chatham faculty are expected to provide excellent teaching and service and to maintain an active program of research or creative activities.
