The Communication Department at Portland State University (Oregon) seeks two, full-time, nine-month, tenure-track professors to begin September 16, 2011. Scholars are sought whose research programs complement faculty expertise in one or more of the following areas: health, media, culture/intercultural/international, and political. Candidates with experience in quantitative, qualitative, and/or critical methodologies are welcome. Duties include conducting research, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, directing master's theses, obtaining external funding, and service. A PhD in Communication (or a related field), and a background in university teaching and research, are
required.
