The University of Winnipeg is seeking candidates with a proven record of vision, leadership, and innovation for the tenure-track position of Cisco Chair for Collaborative Technologies. Subject to budgetary approval, this appointment is effective July 1, 2011. Salary, rank, and Department will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Applicants should have a completed PhD and a strong teaching and research record in educational IT, electronic communications, and/or distance education and training. The successful candidate will build upon the University’s emerging Cisco Systems TelePresence capacity to foster a dynamic culture of creative online learning, classroom and laboratory technology, community engagement, partnerships with government, business, and non-governmental organizations, and the commercial application of Collaborative Technologies. Central to the evolving leadership role of the University of Winnipeg in this area are its engagement in connecting Manitoba academic partners in cooperative teaching, research, and administrative endeavours and its developing role as a hub for Indigenous Development resources as part of the international consortium of Master of Development Practice universities.
