Job Requirements
Required qualifications include Ph.D. in Communication or related field; Additional emphasis in one or more of the following areas: social media, new media technologies and media criticism; secondary emphasis in one or more of the following areas: research methods, international communication, intercultural communication, semiotics, rhetorical theory, political communication, or environmental communication; demonstrated excellence in teaching, record of scholarly achievement or scholarly promise in a program of research, commitment to department, university and community service, and dedication to the establishment of a community of scholar/teachers. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in an academic appointment or related professional field is preferred, and a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
