Job Summary
The Faculty of Education invites applications for a 12-month Instructional Limited Term Appointment (ILTA) in the area of Educational Administration, Leadership, and/or Policy. The appointment, subject to budgetary approval, will commence August 1, 2010.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess an earned doctorate in education or equivalent (ABD candidates will be considered), an excellent command of English, knowledge of educational organizations, leadership and/or policy, and evidence of a commitment to scholarly research and publication. International experiences, or experiences working with international students is an asset.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses within the Administration and Leadership field of specialization to students enrolled in the International Master of Education Program (MEd, ISP), with the possibility of instructing courses in the domestic program. Instructional workload will include courses in organizational theory, educational politics, power and policy as well as a culminating exit seminar in educational studies. The Department supports campuses in three locations including St. Catharines, Hamilton and Oakville (Sheridan College) and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in instructional and other academic activities at each campus.
