> The School of Information Studies (SIS), one of the four academic units in the Faculty of Education at McGill University, invites applications for two tenure-stream appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2010. Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree in information studies or a related discipline, and should have demonstrated effective teaching, research and service.

> Research expertise is sought in Information and Knowledge Management (digital libraries, taxonomies, health consumer information,  knowledge transfer, organizational learning), Information Retrieval (visualization of information, health informatics, bibliometrics, webometrics, infometrics), Curation and Preservation (digital archives, records management, authenticity, cultural heritage management), and Cognitive Models (human information interaction, human computer interaction, usability studies). Applicants with experience in multidisciplinary research in any of these areas are particularly welcome.

> The successful candidates will teach courses at the graduate level, conduct research, and advise and supervise master’s and doctoral students. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
