Position: Science and Technology Studies - Assistant Professor

Applications are invited for a two-year contractually limited
appointment in Science and Technology Studies at the Assistant
Professor level, effective July 1, 2008. All positions at York
University are subject to final budgetary approval.
The Science and Technology Studies Program (STS) is seeking a
candidate with teaching and research strengths in STS who is competent
to teach an introductory course in STS methods. Candidates must have a
PhD in science and technology studies, or in a related field, such as
science policy or the sociology, anthropology, philosophy or history
of science and technology, and should show excellence or promise of
excellence in teaching and in scholarly research and publication. The
successful candidate will be expected to teach in the Natural Science
general education curriculum and must therefore have competence in
this area.
The deadline for receipt of completed applications is March 31, 2008.
