The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to synthesize social,
economic, and cultural forms of analysis, evincing a strong
commitment to interdisciplinary and critical approaches to the field.
We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in the
study of civil society formations, and who may be positioned to
strengthen the Program's connections to international civil society
sector. International Studies offers degrees at the B.A. and M.A.
levels. The B.A. program offers undergraduates a rigorous academic
training that prepares them for advanced studies across a range of
graduate or professional school disciplines. The MA program is geared
toward students who aspire to careers in the international non-profit
service and advocacy sector. At both the undergraduate and graduate
levels, the Program values outstanding teaching and innovative
pedagogical approaches. Candidates should submit a letter outlining
their teaching and research interests, a C.V., and the names and
addresses (only) of three referees. Applicants should describe in
their cover letters evidence of the following: interdisciplinary
training and scholarship, strong teaching ability, speciality areas
that could strengthen or expand Program curricula, potential
contributions to graduate student research skill development. Apply
