Description
     This position is responsible for the collection, compilation,  
and interpretive analysis of data about the computing use and  
behavior of the campus community in order to provide strategic  
guidance to the division. Provides documentation and communicates  
results based on this analysis and may give oral presentations  
concerning the findings of these reports. Works directly with  
computing support staff to understand both the current and desired  
uses of technology to meet institutional goals. Manages and  
facilitates projects such as technology evaluation or development of  
a new support service; provides detailed analysis about the use of  
existing services and applications. Facilitates IT project teams in  
using good project management processes. Candidates must possess  
excellent technical skills, problem solving abilities, time  
management skills, and be able to communicate in writing and in  
person effectively with customers, team members, and divisional and  
educational peers.

     Minimum Requirements

     BS degree in business administration or information technology  
or equivalent experience; At least 3 years experience with data  
analysis and reporting; significant experience with various software  
packages, including spreadsheet software, database packages, word  
processing software, etc. and ability to use SQL or other query  
languages. ; Strong technical skills, effective interpersonal skills,  
excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to  
work with highly technical and non-technical customers in groups or  
one-on-one; ability to compile, analyze and interpret statistical  
data; organizational skills, analytical reasoning and problem solving  
skills. ; Normally sedentary position with some mobility; i.e., able  
to travel to various campus locations; Close contact with computer  
display for prolonged periods; Ability to effectively handle multiple  
projects and focus on a single task at a given time; excellent  
questioning and analytical skills; ability to communicate information  
to/from all levels of users and technical staff; ability to determine  
task priorities.

     Preferred Requirements

     Masters degree in business administration or information  
technology or equivalent experience; Experience in academic  
environments and with service organizations. Experience in developing  
user requirements. Experience in project management. Experience with  
simple web page development/maintenance.
