The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking  
a Project Manager, Online Degree Programs to serve as the primary  
project manager for the Online Degree Program project.

Under general direction of the ATS Director of Academic Technology  
Development, the Project Manager, Online Degree Programs will develop  
and manage the tasks, schedule and deliverables of the Online Degree  
Program project plan; develop and manage the consultation process  
with campuses on Online Degree Program activities; develop and manage  
the communications plan for the Online Degree Program project;  
collaborate with various Online Degree Program advisory committees  
and implement their directions; manage the CSU Chancellor’s Office  
staff working on the Online Degree Program project; oversee the RFP  
selection process and direct the selected vendor throughout the life  
of the contract; lead the planning, development, and marketing of the  
CSU Online Degree Program website which will provide a database- 
driven searchable list of all CSU online degree programs; develop a  
readiness assessment of campuses’ ability to successfully plan and  
implement their Online Degree Programs; provide a range of reports  
for the CSU Chancellor’s Office management, PSTSC, ATAC, DAT, ITAC,  
and COLD on project progress and issues; and represent the  
Chancellor’s Office in consultation with various systemwide and  
campus groups about the planning and implementation of the Online  
Degree Program project.

Requirements:
This position requires a Master’s Degree; 5+ years experience in  
management of academic technology projects with higher education or  
equivalent; strong project management, budget, planning, and  
organizational management skills; demonstrated expertise in  
negotiating and managing contracts; demonstrated collaborative  
approach to problem solving and communication skills; certified  
project manager; familiarity with the CSU system and experience  
working in an academic technology environment on a CSU campus; online  
teaching experience and/or experience developing and supporting  
online degree programs.
