Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in library and information science or
a related field; M.L.I.S. from an A.L.A. accredited program;
demonstrated potential for research and publication; ability to
provide high quality instruction to graduate students.
Additional Qualifications Desired: Ability to teach and conduct
research in at least two of the following areas: digital libraries,
information retrieval, information technologies, knowledge
management, special libraries, systems analysis, records management.
Highly qualified individuals who have not yet completed their
dissertations may be considered for appointment at the Instructor
level. Salary will be open and commensurate with qualifications.
Minimum salary is $47,000 per academic year for Assistant Professor
level. Research assistance and travel support provided; additional
summer appointment is frequently available. Position available to
start in Fall 2007. An offer of employment is contingent upon
satisfactory pre-employment background check. Applications will be
