Assistant / Associate Professor of Communication
The School of Liberal Arts seeks candidates for a tenure-track
position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, beginning
August 2008, pending funding. Areas of research specialization open,
but preferred fields include professional communication, emerging
technologies, technical and multimedia communication, critical
approaches to new-media studies, and visual culture. Successful
candidate will direct a new major in Professional Communication.
Experience in journalism or other related fields will be of special
interest. Evidence of strong teaching and administrative abilities
also required. PhD required; although ABDs with degree by August 2008
will be considered.
The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications after November
26th. Applications will be considered until the position is filled. We
will conduct interviews at the MLA Convention in Chicago. Send letter
