Assistant Professor in Arts and Technology: Emerging Media, Networks
The School of Arts and Humanities

The School of Arts and Humanities at The University of Texas at  
Dallas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in  
Arts and Technology (ATEC), with a focus on Emerging Media, Networks.  
We invite applications from scholars and artists working in such  
areas as: the Internet and emerging digital communication networks;  
social networks; social software; online / synthetic worlds.  
Knowledge of production practices in multiple media as it applies to  
the Internet media and extensive experience with web 2.0  
technologies, Internet video and audio, social media and user  
generated content strategies is desirable.  Ph.D. or M.F.A. in  
appropriate field required.

Appointment begins  September 1, 2007.  The successful candidate will  
have a strong commitment to research, publishing, undergraduate and  
graduate teaching, and participation in interdisciplinary education  
and research projects.

UTD is a dynamic, growing research institution with a diverse student  
body and a strong research faculty.  Salary competitive.  Review of
