Associate Professor of Media Industry Studies
The Program in Film and Media Studies at Arizona State University is  
seeking to hire an associate professor of Film and Media Studies with  
expertise in the history and current aspects of the social, economic,  
aesthetic, business practices and technological dimensions of the  
American media industry. In an era of convergence, this search is  
focused on candidates whose work extends across media forms (film,  
television, the internet, video games), or otherwise engages digital  
culture. The successful candidate is expected to take the lead role  
in building a professional master's degree in Entertainment and  
Technology. Candidate is expected to teach a large lecture class and  
upper division undergraduate courses in area of expertise.  
Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Film Studies, Media Studies or a  
related discipline, and demonstrated excellence in research or  
teaching appropriate to rank. Experience in or with media industries
