The Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto
invites applications for three tenure-stream appointments. The
appointments will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full
Professor and will begin on July 1, 2007.
Outstanding scholars with research interests in one or more of the
following areas are especially encouraged to apply:
Archives & records management
Information organization, representation, and classification
Book history, media, and communication
Information practices, including human-computer interaction,
inclusive information design, media design, systems & information
management
Candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent), proven record of
scholarship, and experience with multidisciplinary research.
Additional qualifications for those applying at the Full or Associate
Professor level include experience leading research projects and
working with graduate students. Experience developing new curricula
is an asset. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Applicants should send curriculum vitae, teaching dossier, copies of
three representative papers/publications, a statement outlining
current and future research interests and a list of three references
