The Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) Policy & Economics Council facilitates
educational exchanges between leading global investment and business
leaders and our network of over 3000 senior policy experts and
economists. Members of the Policy & Economics Council include former
government officials; lobbyists for industry, advocacy organizations
and trade associations; think-tank scholars; and economists and
political scientists at top universities and consulting firms worldwide.
As background, Gerson Lehrman Group provides services and web-based
software to help the world's leading financial services firms,
consultancies, corporations and not-for-profit institutions find,
engage, and manage proprietary expert networks, by tapping the global
associations of the GLG Councils. More than 150,000 subject-matter
experts of the GLG Councils deepen clients' understanding of critical
issues through a wide range of consulting methods, including
telephone consultations, expert surveys and seminars.
We are currently accepting applications from professors of various
backgrounds for membership in the GLG Policy & Economics Council. As
a member of the Policy & Economics Council, you will be eligible to
participate in these occasional consultations with our clients in
exchange for which you will be compensated for your time at a rate
that you determine.
To apply, please complete the short application form by visiting
http://www.glgcouncils.com/app/?councilID=1016&rcid=2aBt7AmvwigNCo51
Benefits of membership include: earning consulting fees, at a rate
you set, for your insights; participating at your discretion and only
on topics you are able to discuss; staying abreast of emerging trends
while educating global business and investment leaders; and high-
level networking. There is no cost to join the GLG Councils.
Membership is free.
Council Members are invited to discuss non-confidential information
such as general industry trends or specific products and services
related to their area of expertise. Council Members are asked to help
educate and provide objective insight to our clients. You will be
given the opportunity to vet each project invitation for conflicts.
Council Members are never obligated to accept consultations and
should decline invitations if they are uncomfortable with the topic,
feel it may violate an agreement they have with a third party, or for
any other reason.
We also encourage you, if you are unsure about your company's
policies on outside business or consulting activities, to forward
this email to your manager, or other appropriate individual at your
company. We have created the GLG Institutional Registry where
organizations can set preferences and guidelines as to how employees
and consultants participate in outside consulting projects with
leading financial services firms, consultancies, law firms,
corporations and not-for-profit institutions.
