Fisher College invites applications for an Assistant Professor,
commencing with the 2007-2008 academic year for its newly proposed
baccalaureate program in Communication and Media Studies.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities for the position include teaching
Communication and Media Studies related courses as assigned by the
Division Chair, advising, curriculum development, committee work, and
professional development activities. The candidate will also serve as
the Program Director for the new program.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in communications or a
related field and a minimum of two years college level teaching
experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability
to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
We seek an individual with energy and enthusiasm who wishes to be
part of a College dedicated to the scholarship and achievement of its
students. In addition, the candidate will show an interest in shaping
the future direction of this new program. Salary is commensurate with
academic qualifications and experience.
Fisher College, founded in 1903, is a private coeducational
institution. The College is located on Beacon Street, Boston,
Massachusetts, a beautiful location within walking distance to
numerous world-renowned cultural and collegiate settings.
The application deadline is January 31, 2007. No applications will be
accepted after that date; position is slated to begin in August 2007.
Approval of the program is pending; final contract is subject to
program approval.
