Communications: Assistant or Associate Professor in Organizational  
Communication; Position Number 82294, University of Hawaii, College  
of Social Sciences, School of Communications, full-time, 9-month,  
tenure-track appointment, to begin August 1, 2006. Duties: Teach  
undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Communication;  
Introduction to Communication, Communication Research Methods; engage  
in scholarly activity in field; participate in graduate committees;  
advising undergraduate and graduate students; seek extramural  
funding; and participate in service activities. Minimum  
Qualifications (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. (completed by the date of  
appointment) in Communication or related field, publication in  
refereed books, journals or on-line in organizational communication.  
Ability to teach traditional and on-line graduate and undergraduate  
courses and direct research and applied intervention projects in  
organizational communication and emerging forms of public relations.  
(Associate Professor): In addition to minimum qualifications for  
Assistant Professor, 4 years of full-time college or university  
teaching at the rank of assistant professor or equivalent. Desirable  
Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to conduct research and  
intervention projects and teach traditional and online courses. These  
activities may address the role of communication in organizational  
development, organizational management/development, transition, and  
in "blended" environments involving interactions both face-to-face  
and online, each in a global context. Foci on leadership, team  
building and/or change management are desirable. Demonstrated  
abilities to teach undergraduate courses in public relations and  
Master's and Ph.D. graduate courses in communication theory and
